Oui, cela aurait pu être le titre de mon post. Car non, je n’ai pas remarqué que Wonder avait un problème d’audition, Right non plus, ma mère infirmière non plus, notre pédiatre non plus, ni nos familles, ni nos amis…
Personne n’a remarqué que Wonder entendait mal.
Sauf la maitresse…
Rappelez vous ses soucis de dictée…
La maitresse avait évoqué un souci d’audition…
Je pensais qu’il fallait juste attendre le déclic mais je me suis décidée à voir la pédiatre.
Qui nous a dit que tout était normal mais qu’on allait vérifier pour que la maitresse soit tranquille.
Du coup, rdv chez l’ORL pour un audiogramme puis une ordonnance pour un bilan et d’éventuelles séances d’orthophoniste.
Chez l’ORL, le diagnostic est tombé : surdité légère de l’oreille gauche (et a priori une oreille droite bof mais dans la norme).
A priori c’est dû à de l’eau derrière le tympan.
Le plan d’action désormais c’est 3 mois de lavage de nez matin et soir avec un pschitt pour assécher le tympan, puis une éventuelle opération si cela ne marche pas.
Wonder entend mal…
Après coup, je remarque ses nombreux “Quoi”.
Je réalise que j’ai raté quelque chose, que je suis passée à côté.
J’ai beau savoir que c’est léger, que c’est réversible, c’est toujours difficile à accepter.
Aussi pour Wonder, qui la pauvre déteste tout qui touche à son nez.
Une héritage je suppose de sa bronchiolite bébé…
Mais elle accepte avec grâce (et un petit déjeuner) ses soins chaque jour.
Donc, ne nous reste plus qu’à attendre le verdict fin février pour en savoir plus sur la suite possible.
Heureusement, la Providence a mis une bonne copine sur notre route pour nous rassurer des suites éventuelles, l’opération étant banale et très peu douloureuse pour l’enfant.

Un rapide partage d’expérience… Mes 3 filles vers l’age de 4-5 ans ont toutes développé une otite séreuse (=liquide derrière les oreilles). Un arrêt complet du lait et un allègement dans la consommation des produits laitiers a résolu le pb pour les 3… Effet visible au plus en 1 à 2 mois… A noter que cela empire toujours avec les rhumes d’hiver.
